SOS from the mountains - AirMarker provides support during the search

On July 28th, the Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung (reaching a readership of over 450,000) devoted an entire spread to AirMarker and its creator Rico Dürst, which sparked a considerable response. The portrait SOS from the mountains - AirMarker provides support during the search focuses on the origins and potential uses of this flying breakdown triangle. It highlights the ways in which this airborne rescue balloon can significantly shorten the search for injured or missing people.

In case of an emergency, AirMarker can be triggered with a single twist. Its balloon is filled with helium and rises up to 45 metres into the air. Its integrated LED lamp is activated by the release mechanism and remains lit for up to 22 hours. Thanks to its motion in the air, its orange colour and its light, AirMarker stands out from afar, at night and even in fog.

The positive response following its launch shows that AirMarker is already becoming a valuable and essential complement to safety equipment for those who regularly venture into alpine regions.
